A sweet and tangy version of the classic.
This recipe was shared with me from a friend years and years ago. She simmered it over the stove, I modified it for the crockpot. Sometimes, finding chicken gumbo soup (condensed) is tricky, but the soup is a big part of the flavor of the sandwich.
Brown meat in skillet over medium heat, drain. Add to crockpot. In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients, mix into meat in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 8 hours. Serve on hamburger buns.
