I absolutely love fall.  I believe I’ve mentioned that before – the cooler weather, the beautiful colors, the crockpot cooking, and our annual family trip to the apple orchard.

The apple orchard is a family tradition in our household, and I regretfully say that we missed last year.  Not this year though!  We’re planning for this weekend, and the kids are getting so excited!  We go to an orchard that is pick-your-own, and one of my favorite parts is walking down the gravel path to the rows and rows of trees.  Once we get to the orchard, the kids all stop and take in a deep breath and taking in that yummy wonderful smell.  Then we wander through the rows, picking bags upon bags of apples until we can’t carry anymore.

Of course, the most fun?  Making all the tasty apple dishes when you get home!
