A different way to eat pizza that’s popular with the kids!

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 6 hours, 10 minutes

Yield: 8-10

If you'd like a longer cooking time, don't pre-cook the noodles, just add to the crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, until noodles are tender. You may need to add a little water or extra sauce to cover all the noodles. If your kids aren't crazy about all the veggies, either dice them finer or just delete them.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 4 oz can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 14 oz can pizza sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 cups rotini pasta noodles
  • 2 3 1/2 oz packages sliced pepperoni
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning mix

Instructions

In a skillet cook ground beef, green pepper, onion, and mushrooms over medium heat, drain. Add tomato sauce, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning mix and tomato paste, mix well. Meanwhile, cook noodles as directed on package.

Place sauce mix and noodles in crockpot, mix well. Place pepperonis on top. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours. Sprinkle cheese and Italian seasoning mix into crockpot. Cover and cook on high 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
