Crazy as it sounds, this was called “fly poop bread” in my family when I was younger. Sure is tasty for fly poop.
If you like the bread a little tangier, increase the lemon extract ever so slightly.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease two loaf pans. In large bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking powder, poppy seeds, and sugar. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla, and lemon extracts; mix about one minute, until smooth. Pour batter evenly into loaf pans. Bake for 50-55 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool at least 15 minutes.
