For the last few years my family has grown sweet corn.   I don't mean a row or two, I mean acres.  The picture?  That's our corn.  It's a long story, but about four years ago my father in law planted 5 acres of sweet corn.  We were donating barrels to the local food pantry, giving it to neighbors, and the kids would sell it on the side of the road.  Me?  I had to come up with new recipes.

This is hands down one of my favorite soups.  Broccoli is one of my favorite veggies, and in Wisconsin it's almost mandatory to love cheese if you live here.

I love holidays.  Just about any holiday.  Frankly, it's for no other reason than the food.

The other day I looked in my fridge and noticed leftover rotini noodles mixed with some spaghetti sauce, some pepperoni, mushrooms that were nearing the end of their life, and way too many green peppers.  I knew that coupled with my regular pantry items and I had all the fixings for pizza - but no crust.  Course, those leftover noodles would substitute nicely.  Crockpot pizza soup it is!

This cream based soup has Indian flavors and curry - yum!  I made a big batch and thought we'd have leftovers.  I was so wrong - my husband had four bowls!

My husband the other day wasn't feeling well and requested home made chicken noodle soup.  I realized although I had made it a number of times, I didn't have a recipe on the website.  Here you go - enjoy!

I have made plenty of chowders but wanted this one to be a bit different.  With the cheese, sour cream, and cayenne pepper, it's a cheesy creamy chowder with a little kick!  Lots of flavor and beyond a normal chowder flavor.

My husband doesn't do a lot of the cooking around the house, although he would like to.  He will actually ask me at times if he can make dinner as he really likes to cook and I don't often give him the chance.  He makes some things EXTREMELY well.   Chili is one of them.

This is a great hearty soup with loads of meat and beans and tons of flavor! My husband loves it. I have to admit, when I first made this I knew it would be okay, but wasn't quite sure it would be wonderful. I took one taste of the broth and was convinced - it's so good!!

This soup is so good; my husband had three bowls! I was going to freeze some of it, but frankly there wasn't enough left for me to do so. A unique hearty broth flavor with tender cuts of beef and mushrooms.
