Recipe: Gyros with Cucumber Sauce

After having these numerous times in restaurants, I finally devised my own delicious recipe.

Ingredients:
| 2 | pounds | ground lamb |
| 4 | cloves minced | garlic |
| 4 | tsp | lemon juice |
| 2 | tsp | basil |
| 1 | tsp | marjoram leaves |
| 2 | tsp | thyme |
| 1 | tsp | rosemary |
| 1 | tsp | black pepper |
| ½ | cup snipped | fresh parsley |
| 8 | toasted | pita pockets |
| 1 | small | onion |
| 1 ½ | cups | plain yogurt |
| ½ | cup | sour cream |
| 1 | medium | cucumber |
| 3 | cloves minced | garlic |
| 2 | tbsp | lemon juice |
| ½ | tsp | celery salt |
|
Instructions:
In a bowl, place ground lamb, 4 cloves minced garlic, 4 tsp lemon juice, basil, marjoram, thyme, rosemary, black pepper and fresh parsley. Mix together (using your hands works best).
